about Dr Dinaz Irani
Dr Dinaz Irani is a Ear, Nose & Throat Specialist with Special interest in Paediatric ENT, Otology & Rhinology. Dinaz is a Consultant at Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals. She is a member of the New Zealand Society of Otolaryngology Head & Neck Society and Member of The Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.
After completing Medical School in Mumbai, India in 1995 Dinaz worked in Teaching Hospitals in Mumbai as Associate Professor in ENT. Dinaz also spent a few months with Prof Andre Sultan in Paris and Prof Helms and the Plester Group in Germany learning Specialised skills in Otology.
Dinaz moved to New Zealand in 2004 and worked in Auckland before moving to Tauranga in 2008, after which she got her Vocational Registration in Otolaryngology by the Medical Council of New Zealand. Since moving to Tauranga Dinaz is still working till date in Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals, the last three years as Head of Department. Dinaz started the outreach clinics in Kawerau and Opotiki which have been a huge success.
Dinaz is actively involved in training and supervision of Medical Students and Doctors. She is passionate about providing a World Class Service in Tauranga and the wider Bay of Plenty region.
