Active+ Concussion Service

Helping someone recover from a concussion sooner can get them feeling better faster. We help people recovering from mild to moderate TBI through the fully funded ACC Concussion Service.

We support your patients through a coordinated, evidence-based approach, working closely with patients, whānau, and referrers to achieve optimal and timely recovery outcomes.

Our interdisciplinary team provides comprehensive assessment, treatment, and education to reduce prolonged symptoms and promote return to work, school, and everyday activities.

The concussion service focuses on:

• Early assessment and intervention.
• Reducing the risk of persistent post-concussion symptoms.
• Supporting return to work, education, sport, and daily life.

Eligibility for our Concussion Service:

• Patients with a confirmed or suspected concussion and an accepted ACC claim.
• Injury occurred within the past 12 months.
• Open to all ages, from Tamariki to older adults.
• The service is ACC funded - no additional surcharge.

Active+ Pain Management Service

We provide ACC-funded Pain Management programmes that help patients experiencing long-term pain to understand, manage and reduce their pain.

We offer both individual and group programmes including a dedicated online paediatric group programme. Our team of health professionals work together to support recovery, improve function and help patients return to work and
everyday life.

Active+ Vocational Rehabilitation

When a patient is injured, helping them return to work safely and efficiently is essential. We support patients returning to work after injury through the fully funded ACC Stay at Work service. Our team works with employers, GPs and patients to identify barriers and develop safe, structured return-to-work plans that reduce time off, prevent re-injury, and support recovery.

Active+ Sensitive Claims

We are one of the few New Zealand providers offering both mental health and allied health services under one coordinated team.

Through the ACC-funded Sensitive Claims Service, Active+ provides tailored, client-centred interdisciplinary support, assessment and treatment services for survivors of sexual assault and sexual violence. Our services are individually designed, culturally responsive and developed with kiritaki input.
