Dr Anna Lawrence

Anna is an NZ trained Urologist, with extensive post-fellowship training in Functional Urology, Incontinence, NeuroUrology and Reconstructive Urology (California USA, Pune India), and Clinical lead Neurourology Auckland Spinal Unit.
She is the current President of Continence NZ, a member of the NZ Pelvic Mesh Service and is a strong advocate for men and women with these difficult and morbid conditions.

She has a broad surgical and medical skill set for general Urological problems but sub-specialises in all-gender voiding dysfunction, incontinence, complex neurogenic and non-neurogenic bladder dysfunction, urethral stricture and neuromodulation.

Annas experience in her special interest areas are recognised internationally and she is a sought after speaker on female stricture disease, neurourology and neuromodulation for bladder failure and OAB. She was the first surgeon in Auckland to complete a female urethroplasty (having published her modification of the technique) and has extensive experience in urethral reconstruction, buried penis surgery, and penile reconstruction.

Anna is patient-focused and looks at holistic treatment options for patients, reaching a management plan with their involvement.
