Immune diseases

fall into two main categories:

Autoimmune Disease

where autoimmunity is caused by an

overactive immune system

, examples include Type 1 Diabetes, Arthritis, Mulitple Sclerosis, Lupus and Psoriasis and

Immune Deficiency

; where the body has an insufficient immune response to the presence of bacteria or a virus. Examples of an

immunodefiency disease

are HIV/AIDS, Leukemia, Viral Hepatitis and Anemia. There are several other branches in the field of
