Dr Stephen Burmeister

Dr Burmeister is a graduate of Auckland Medical School who did postgraduate specialty training at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, UK. Since March 2001 he has been employed as a specialist gastroenterologist and physician at Waitemata DHB, where he is the "Clinical Director of Endoscopy and Gastroenterology".

He also works in private at Waitemata Gastroenterology,Takapuna and Waitemata Endoscopy, Southern Cross North Harbour.

He is the ex chair of the Waitemata DHB Clinical & Quality Board, member of the Senior Medical Advisory Committee and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland.
