Dr Peter Carr-Boyd
about Dr Peter Carr-Boyd
I offer specialist surgical care for cancer and other conditions of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, adrenals and stomach including weight loss (bariatric) surgery. I have specific training and interest in minimally invasive (laparoscopic and robotic) approaches and I am accredited to perform gastroscopy and colonoscopy. I also offer a range of general surgical procedures including laparoscopic hernia repair and laparoscopic cholecystectomy.
Currently, Im undertaking The Harvard Medical School Surgical Leadership Program as I hope to help create surgical environments where teams can work efficiently and effectively together to provide the best care and outcomes for patients. I have a wife and three children and enjoy skiing, rock climbing (in which Im a certified guide) and triathlon.
My training and experience allows me to ensure the right decision has been made to undergo surgery, to ensure patients are as well prepared as possible, and to ensure that they are properly (and safely) cared for before, during and after surgery.
