He was also a member of the multi-disciplinary team at the London Complex Mesh Centre (LCMC), which is dedicated to providing care for women experiencing complications after pelvic mesh insertion.

Dr. Chong is versatile and comfortable in all treatment approaches such as open, laparoscopic, robotic, endoscopic, vaginal and perineal.

He is the only surgeon in New Zealand who is trained in both minimally invasive/robotic cancer surgery & reconstructive urological surgery having completed a robotic fellowship at Guys Hospital, London & a female, functional & reconstructive fellowship at the University College of London.
