Pain Management
Pain medicine is a multi-disciplinary speciality which provides medical care to assist with the management of persistent pain (pain lasting longer than 3 months). A specialist pain medicine doctor is a medical specialist who has undergone training and qualification in assessment and management of patients for whom pain is the primary presenting problem. A specialist pain medicine doctors’ spectrum of care includes interventional pain-relieving procedures, medication management and titration, and coordination of multidisciplinary team input.
