ACL Reconstruction in Auckland
Anterior Cruciate Ligament
or ACL reconstruction, requires the expertise of an
Orthopaedic Surgeon
or Sports Medicine Specialist. It is the surgical tissue graft replacement of the ACL, located in the knee, to restore its function after an injury. The torn ligament is removed from the knee before the graft is inserted in an arthroscopic (keyhole) procedure. This is also known as knee arthroscopy.
